Never lose your row again.
Rowlight is a companion for the patterns you already own. A highlight band follows your row,
counters understand repeats, and your Watch or lock screen moves you on, so your hands stay on the yarn.

Count with a double tap on your Watch, from the lock screen without unlocking, or by tapping anywhere on the page.
The Watch app stays on your counter between rows instead of drifting back to the clock.
Apple Watch. The whole screen is one +1 button. On supported models, double tap counts without letting go of your needles.
Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. A Live Activity shows your row and repeat, with + and undo.
On the page. Tap anywhere to count. Two-finger tap to undo. Pinch still zooms.

Repeats that count themselves.
Tell Rowlight “rows 3–10, repeat 3 times” once. It rolls into the next repeat by itself, keeps the overall row
count honest, and reminds you when it’s time to change color or work a buttonhole.
Linked counters. Sections like Yoke, Body and Sleeve roll up into the main row count. Sleeve 2 can copy Sleeve 1.
Reminders on the row. “Every 6th row: increase.” “Buttonhole every 12 rows.” A small flag on the band, and a tap on the wrist.

Never lose a tap.
Every tap is saved as its own small entry, with the time and the device it came from, then synced through your own private iCloud.
Two devices counting at once can’t overwrite each other, and a new phone brings every project back.
Undo you can check. The history shows exactly what each tap did, so a double tap at 11 PM is easy to spot and take back.
No account. Nothing to sign up for. Works offline and on a single device, and exports to a backup file whenever you like.

Safe for the designers you love.
Rowlight only works with patterns you bring. It doesn’t host them, can’t share them and never feeds them to a cloud AI.
Every project carries the designer’s name and a link back to their shop.
Stored on this device and your iCloud. Never uploaded anywhere else.
The pattern on your iPad. The count on your wrist.
Read the page large with the counter panel beside it. Mark it up with Apple Pencil while your finger keeps counting.
Glance at your iPhone or Watch and it’s the same row, because it’s the same count.

Questions, answered.
Which patterns work with Rowlight?
Any pattern you have as a PDF or a picture: shop downloads, free patterns, photos of a printed page, or a scan from the camera. Crochet and knitting, written or charted. The highlight band is a ruler you place yourself, so it works on charts as well as text.
Does Rowlight upload my patterns anywhere?
No. Patterns live on your devices and sync through your own private iCloud, which we can’t see. There’s no Rowlight server holding your files, no cloud AI and no sharing feature.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s nothing to sign up for. Rowlight uses the Apple Account you’re already signed in with for iCloud sync, and works on a single device with iCloud turned off.
What happens when I get a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account and your projects, counts and history come back from your iCloud. You can also export any project as a .rowlight backup file and keep it in Files.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later, and Apple Watch with watchOS 26 or later. One purchase covers all of them, and Family Sharing is on.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Everything works without a connection. Counts made offline sync the next time your device is online, and none of them get lost or doubled.
Is there an Android or web version?
Not for now. Rowlight is built for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, so it can lean on the Watch, the lock screen and Apple Pencil.
When can I try it?
A TestFlight beta opens first. Leave your email above and you’ll get one message with the invite, then one when Rowlight is on the App Store.
I’m a pattern designer. Can I recommend Rowlight?
We hope so. It was built so you can. Here’s our pledge to designers, and an invitation to help shape companion-ready patterns.
Cast on with the beta.
The TestFlight beta opens soon. Bring a pattern you’re working on and tell us where you lose your place.
